Why do I run? To be healthier? To get fitter? To be happier?
The answer is all of the above, and so much more!
Five years ago I was massively overweight, and became seriously ill, this gave me a kick in the backside, and just over two years ago I laced up my trainers for a run, which was mainly a walk! However I was hooked, i never stopped running! It has been one hell of a journey, but now I’m six stones lighter, and run fifty miles a week. I found more support and advice than I could ever need from Stoke F.I.T. And I spend my non-running days looking forward to my next run!
When I got the chance to become a leader, I realised this was the next step on the road, I’m still learning, but I now have the chance to share all the things I’ve learned along the way so far, and help others achieve their own goals, regardless if that is 3 miles or 30! I want to see the pride on your faces when you hit that first target, which you will, and then set a new one!
So don’t come to me and tell me you can’t, I’ll tell you to get up and try harder. Tell me what you’re GOING to do, and I’ll do my level best to help you
