Potteries marathon 2016

A massive enormous gigantic WELL DONE to everybody who went out and did the 2016 Potteries marathon!

Well done especially

to all of the Stoke F.I.T. runners and a massive thank you to all of the supporters and helpers, Especially Louise Richards and her team who managed the 12 mile water stop…dubbed the Stoke F.I.T. party point because of how great it was – people didn’t want to leave!

The day was an especially incredibly emotional day for Tracy Chevin, one of our members, as well as for her team; ‘Tracy’s Tutus’ who stayed with Tracy the whole way around.

Team Tutus was made up of;

Lee lymer
Angela McAree
Trevor Ball
Lucy Holt
Dawn Simcoe
Charlotte Foster
Tracy Boylan

Tracy lost her husband 2 weeks ago after a brave and drawn out battle with cancer and hasn’t been able to get out and train for months.  However, she was determined to finish it, and finish she did, with her team at her side the whole way around.

The team were even joined by local legend Lucy Holt who forfeited an important race so that she could be there to show her support to Tracy!

Watch this space because I’ve got a plan up my sleeve to help Tracy, who so for has raised tonnes of money for her 2 charities; the Royal Stoke hospital and the Dougie Mac!

You can donate to Tracy here.
